About Jumeirah Mosque
Jumeirah Mosque is one of Dubai’s most beautiful mosques and one of the few open to non-Muslim visitors, through guided tours that explain Emirati culture and Islam.
Built in the traditional Fatimid style from pale stone, Jumeirah Mosque opened in 1979 on Jumeirah Beach Road. It can hold over a thousand worshippers.
The Sheikh Mohammed Centre for Cultural Understanding runs guided visits under the banner "Open Doors, Open Minds", normally in the morning on most days except Friday. The visit includes an introduction to the mosque, prayer and Emirati customs, and a question-and-answer session. Modest clothing is required and scarves can be borrowed.
