About Etihad Museum
Etihad Museum in Jumeirah tells the story of how the United Arab Emirates was founded in 1971, on the very site where the union agreement was signed.
The museum stands beside Union House, where the rulers of the emirates signed the agreement that created the UAE on 2 December 1971. The curved white roof is shaped like the manuscript of that document, and seven leaning columns represent the pens used to sign it.
Inside, galleries use films, photographs and personal objects to cover the years leading up to the union and the founding fathers. The restored Union House and guest palace can be visited as part of the same ticket.
