About Dubai Opera
Dubai Opera in Downtown Dubai is a 2,000-seat performing arts centre shaped like a traditional dhow, hosting opera, ballet, concerts and musicals.
Dubai Opera opened in 2016 beside Burj Khalifa and the Dubai Fountain. Its glass-fronted building is modelled on a wooden dhow, and the hall can be converted between a theatre, a concert hall and a flat-floor events space.
The programme runs year-round, from touring West End musicals and orchestras to Arabic music and comedy. Even without a ticket, the surrounding Opera District is a pleasant place to walk, with cafés and views of the fountain.
