About The Dubai Mall
The Dubai Mall in Downtown Dubai is one of the largest shopping malls in the world, with over 1,200 shops, Dubai Aquarium, an Olympic-size ice rink and the entrance to Burj Khalifa.
Opened in 2008 at the foot of Burj Khalifa, The Dubai Mall is as much an entertainment district as a shopping centre. Alongside its fashion avenue, gold souk and department stores it houses Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo, Dubai Ice Rink, a large cinema, KidZania and a four-storey indoor waterfall.
The Dubai Fountain plays on the lake outside every evening, and a covered walkway links the mall to Burj Khalifa/Dubai Mall metro station. The Chinatown and Fashion Avenue extensions have added several hundred more outlets.
