About Mleiha Archaeological Centre
Mleiha in Sharjah’s desert is an archaeological landscape with a modern visitor centre, Bronze Age tombs, fossil rock and guided desert and stargazing tours.
Finds at Mleiha show human presence going back more than 100,000 years. The visitor centre is built around the Umm an-Nar tomb, a circular Bronze Age burial, and explains the area’s caves, forts and pre-Islamic graves.
From the centre you can join guided drives to Fossil Rock and Camel Rock, sunset dune trips, horse riding and evening stargazing sessions.
