About Al Noor Mosque

Al Noor Mosque on Sharjah’s Khalid Lagoon is an Ottoman-style mosque and the first in Sharjah to welcome non-Muslim visitors on guided tours.

Completed in 2005 and inspired by Istanbul’s Blue Mosque, it has 34 cascading domes and two slender minarets. The Sharjah Centre for Cultural Communication runs guided tours that explain the building, prayer and local customs.
