About Burj Al Arab
Burj Al Arab is Dubai’s sail-shaped hotel on its own island off Jumeirah Beach — an all-suite hotel that became the symbol of the city.
Opened in December 1999, Burj Al Arab stands 321 metres tall on an artificial island linked to the shore by a private bridge. Every room is a two-storey suite, and the atrium is one of the tallest in the world.
Non-guests cannot walk in without a booking: the usual ways to see inside are afternoon tea, a restaurant reservation or the paid "Inside Burj Al Arab" guided tour. The best free views are from the public beach beside Jumeirah Beach Hotel and from Souk Madinat Jumeirah.
